Lou Turner is a writer and musician who plays solo as well as in the band Styrofoam Winos. She’s the author of Shape Note Singing (VA Press, 2021) and the editor of Quarter Notes, a literary magazine with a musical ear. Her latest record Microcosmos was named a Best Album of 2022 by NPR Music, Aquarium Drunkard, and Uncut.

Hannah Dorfman is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performance artist. She is co-founder and co-director of Nashville theater collective Amm Skellars. She once prepared and ate a hot dog using only her feet. Her current work in progress is a one-woman musical called “Milk Makes Me Sick But My Body Needs It,” a partially improvised, sci-fi fever dream about a lactose-intolerant 1950s housewife.

Bea Troxel is a musician and essayist born and raised in Nashville, TN. She released her latest record, Gettin' Where, via Ruination Records in 2021. She's currently at work on a collection of essays about a family of beavers in Nashville (among other things!) and is starting her MFA at the University of Arizona. She is obsessed with beavers, Wave country, and fake phones.
