Ross Collier
Ross Collier’s debut album is a long-simmered soup — wholesome, simple ingredients alchemized into deep complexity through precious time well spent. The subtly sideways folk rock of Oh, MY! (out March 13, 2026) was cooked low and slow, with close care. Collier masterfully brought them all to boil in his studio in live sessions he engineered himself featuring a mighty slew of friends as trusted sous chefs. They’re remarkable songs, simultaneously off the cuff and worn-in, full of humor and rumination. Collier picks and sings them like he’s found the wisdom in every wisecrack.
Collier grew up in Birmingham, AL before landing in Nashville fifteen years ago — where he’s been a part of the local scene as a player, show organizer, recording engineer, and trusted Omnichord repairman (really). He’s earned a wide reputation as a beloved audio wizard, and has spent the better part of the last few years touring as a front-of-house engineer with the Grammy-winning Americana artist, Allison Russell. When he isn’t on the road, he’s recording/producing/mixing in his studio in South Nashville. His engineering credits run the gamut from the ABC show Nashville to indie records with friends like Katy Kirby, Josh Halper, Bea Troxel, The Cherry Blossoms, and Styrofoam Winos, with whom he’s performed and recorded as an auxiliary member, most prominently on a compilation of Michael Hurley tunes (an influence distinctly felt on Oh, MY!). Members of each of these bands appear on the record’s love-letter-long list of credits, fleshing out Collier’s folk songs with a tight-but-easy going feel.
