David Hurlin
David Hurlin received his Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Intermedia from the University of Iowa. With a background in drum set, percussion, and tabla, David’s current work pushes solo performances and collaborations to the breaking point of drumming, which operate at the intersection of sound art, sculpture, instrument building, improvisation, experimental music, movement, and performance art.
Jade Marantz
Jade Marantz is a composer from Southern Vermont currently based in Nashville, TN. A recent graduate from Vanderbilt University, she studied music composition and musicology, with broad interests including chamber music, jazz, ambient, experimental and aleatoric. As a performer, her experience lies in long form improvisation and sound experiments. “I write music as a way to mold and explore moments in time; mundanity and day-to-day emotional experiences are a driving force in my writing.”
